Day 1 - Arrival in Coimbatore & Proceed to Ooty

Your journey begins at Coimbatore, the Gateway to the Nilgiris. Upon arrival at the airport or railway station, our South India Tours & Travels representative will receive you. We immediately set off on a scenic 3-hour drive to Ooty, the "Queen of Hill Stations." As you ascend the Nilgiri hills, witness the changing landscape from bustling city life to emerald green tea estates. On arrival, check into your hotel. Spend your evening at the Ooty Lake, a central attraction where you can enjoy boating or a simple stroll. This is the perfect introduction to the cool climate of the Western Ghats. Day 2 - Ooty & Coonoor Sightseeing

After a refreshing breakfast, explore the botanical wonders of Ooty. Visit the Government Botanical Garden and the Rose Garden, home to thousands of floral species. Later, we drive to Coonoor, the second largest hill station in the region. Visit the Sim’s Park, a natural garden with rare plant species, followed by Lamb’s Rock and Dolphin’s Nose for panoramic views of the Nilgiri range and Catherine Falls. Return to Ooty in the evening and visit the Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris, to witness a stunning sunset over the valley. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 3 - Ooty to Mysore (The Royal Heritage)

Check out and drive towards Mysore, the cultural capital of Karnataka. The drive takes you through the Bandipur National Park and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary; if you are lucky, you might spot deer, elephants, or peacocks along the road. Upon arrival in Mysore, visit the magnificent Mysore Palace, a stunning example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. In the evening, explore the Brindavan Gardens, famous for its musical fountain show. The palace illuminated at night is a sight to behold and a highlight of our South India Heritage Packages. Overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 4 - Mysore Sightseeing & Transfer to Hassan

After breakfast, visit the Chamundi Hills to see the Chamundeshwari Temple and the giant Nandi statue. We then visit the St. Philomena's Church, one of the tallest churches in India. After soaking in the heritage of Mysore, we begin our drive to Hassan. Hassan is the gateway to the Hoysala architecture wonders. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. This region is famous for its historical significance and serves as the perfect base for exploring the carvings of the 12th century. Overnight stay in Hassan.

Day 5 - Halebid, Belur & Shravanabelagola

Today is dedicated to the architectural masterpieces of the Hoysala Empire. We visit Halebid, the ancient capital, to see the Hoysaleswara Temple, known for its intricate stone carvings. Next, we visit Belur to explore the Chennakesava Temple, a marvel of fine craftsmanship. These temples are UNESCO world heritage nominees. Later, we drive to Shravanabelagola, home to the world’s tallest monolithic stone statue of Lord Bahubali (Gommateshwara). After this spiritual and cultural immersion, we continue our journey towards the Garden City. Overnight stay in Bangalore.

Day 6 - Bangalore City Tour

Explore the vibrant city of Bangalore. Start with the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, which houses India's largest collection of tropical plants. Visit the Bangalore Palace, inspired by Windsor Castle, and the Vidhana Soudha (outside view), the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. Spend your afternoon at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum or enjoy some high-end shopping at MG Road and Brigade Road. Bangalore offers a perfect mix of modernization and green spaces, making it a favorite for Family Group Tours. Overnight stay in Bangalore.

Day 7 - Bangalore Departure

After your final breakfast of the tour, enjoy some free time for local shopping. You can buy authentic sandalwood carvings, Mysore silk sarees, or local spices. Our representative from South India Tours & Travels will then transfer you to the Bangalore (Kempegowda) International Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
