In the evening, we visit the Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, which showcases a blend of Rajput and Italian styles. Following this, we head to Alagar Kovil and the scenic Pazhamudhir Cholai, one of the famous Six Abodes of Lord Murugan. After breakfast, we proceed towards the holy island of Rameshwaram. We visit the Ramanathaswamy Temple, renowned for having the longest corridor in the world. Before entering the sanctum, it is a tradition to take a holy dip in the 22 Theerthams. Early morning, we take a trip to Dhanushkodi, the ghost town at the edge of India. Here, you can see the Ram Setu point where the Bay of Bengal meets the Indian Ocean. After this, we drive towards Tiruchendur to visit the magnificent Subramanya Swamy Temple. This temple is unique because it is built right on the seashore, offering a divine atmosphere with the sound of crashing waves.
After a powerful darshan at Tiruchendur, we continue our journey to Kanyakumari, the Land’s End. Reach Kanyakumari by evening and check into your hotel. If time permits, you can enjoy a peaceful walk along the shore and watch the moonlight reflecting on the three seas. Overnight stay in Kanyakumari.
Witness the spectacular sunrise over the ocean, where the sun appears to rise directly from the water. After breakfast, we take a ferry to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the towering 133-foot Thiruvalluvar Statue. We also visit the Kumari Amman Temple and the Gandhi Mandapam, which was built such that the sun’s rays fall on the spot where his ashes were kept every year on his birthday.
By noon, we begin our scenic uphill drive towards the "Princess of Hill Stations," Kodaikanal. As we ascend the Palani Hills, enjoy the shifting landscape from dry plains to lush green forests and misty mountains. Upon arrival, check into your resort and enjoy the cool mountain air. Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in the refreshing climate of Kodaikanal. We start with the Silver Cascade Falls, followed by a visit to the Coaker’s Walk, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley. Explore the Upper Lake View and the unique Pine Forest, a favorite spot for many filmmakers. We also visit the Guna Caves (Devil’s Kitchen) and the Pillar Rocks, three massive granite boulders standing tall against the sky.
In the afternoon, spend some relaxing time at the star-shaped Kodai Lake. You can enjoy boating, cycling, or horse riding around the lake perimeter. Visit the Bryant Park to see a wide variety of flowers and hybrids. The evening is free for shopping at the local Tibetan market for homemade chocolates and spices. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.
On the final day of your 6-day pilgrimage and nature tour, enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the misty hills. We then descend the hills back toward Madurai. On the way, we stop at the Thalaiyar Falls view point and the Dum Dum Rock. Reach Madurai by afternoon.
