We will immediately proceed on a scenic 4-hour drive to Kodaikanal, the "Princess of Hill Stations." As you ascend the Palani Hills, witness the breathtaking views of the Ghat road. Enroute, stop at the magnificent Silver Cascade Falls, formed from the outflow of Kodaikanal Lake. After a refreshing breakfast, head out for a full day of exploration in the mist-covered hills. Start with the Coaker’s Walk, offering a panoramic view of the plains and the nearby valleys. Visit the Bryant Park, famous for its colorful flowers and hybrid roses. Proceed to the Pillar Rocks, three massive granite cliffs standing 400 feet tall, and the Guna Caves (Devil’s Kitchen), made famous by Indian cinema. Later, visit Pine Forest, a perfect spot for photography, and the Green Valley View, which provides a deep drop view of the Vaigai Dam. Check out from your hotel and drive towards the "Queen of Hill Stations," Ooty. This long, scenic journey takes you through winding roads and lush green landscapes. We will stop at Coonoor, the second-largest hill station in the Nilgiris. Explore Sim’s Park, a beautifully landscaped botanical garden with exotic plant species. Visit Lamb’s Rock and Dolphin’s Nose, which offer spectacular views of the tea estates and the Catherine Falls in the distance. After soaking in the beauty of Coonoor, continue the drive to Ooty. Today is dedicated to the treasures of Ooty. Start your morning at the Government Botanical Garden, home to a fossilized tree trunk over 20 million years old. Visit the Rose Garden, which houses one of the largest collections of roses in India. Drive up to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiri Mountains, for a bird’s-eye view of the entire valley. In the afternoon, explore the Tea Museum and Factory to learn about the tea-making process and sample fresh Nilgiri tea. End your evening at the Ooty Lake, where you can indulge in boating or horse riding. Overnight stay in Ooty.
After breakfast, drive towards the Pykara region, located 20 km from Ooty. Visit the Pykara Waterfalls and the serene Pykara Lake, surrounded by dense forests. You can enjoy a speed boat ride here. Next, visit the 6th Mile and 9th Mile (Shooting Spots), vast green meadows that have served as backdrops for many Bollywood and Kollywood films. On your way back, stop at the Pine Forests and the Kamraj Sagar Dam. If time permits, visit the Wax Museum or the Chocolate Museum to satisfy your sweet tooth with homemade Ooty chocolates. Enjoy your last breakfast in the Nilgiris. Before heading down, visit the Thread Garden, a unique display of flowers and plants made entirely of thread. If you haven't yet, take a quick stroll through the local market to buy aromatic oils, spices, and tea. We then begin our descent back to Coimbatore. Enroute, enjoy the hairpin bends and the changing vegetation from hills to plains.
