Fort St. George

St. George Fort is a historic fort located in Chennai (formerly Madras) in Tamil Nadu, India. It was built in 1644 by the British East India Company, making it one of the first English forts in India.

History :

Fort St. Louis was built by the British East India Company. George established it as a trading post and defensive fortress.
